German Back-to-School Service on Sunday, September 20, at 11am
This year’s ecumenical Back-to-School Service in German will once again take place at the German International School Washington D.C. (GISW). Please note that there will therefore be no German-language service at The United Church that Sunday. Every German-speaking member is warmly invited to join us on September 20th at GISW as we celebrate and bless the beginning of a new school year together.
Dies ist nur eine kurze Erinnerung, dass wir diesen Sonntag keinen deutschsprachigen Gottesdienst in der Vereinigten Kirche, sondern anlässlich des Beginns des neuen Schuljahres einen ökumenischen Schulanfangs-Gottesdienst (gemeinsam mit der German Lutheran Church und der deutschsprachigen katholischen Gemeinde). Der Gottesdienst findet am Sonntag, 20. September, 11 Uhr in der Deutschen Internationalen Schule Washington D.C. (GISW), 8617 Chateau Drive in Potomac, MD, statt. Wir treffen uns um 11 Uhr direkt bei der GISW!
English-Language Sunday Worship Service on September 20th at 11am
You are invited to join us this coming Sunday, September 20th, in person or online for the English Language Service at 11am. We’ll look at “You are Sacred” in the second week of a sermon series exploring The United Church’s tagline: “You are precious, sacred, and beloved, of God, always.” Join us in a time to recharge spiritually through song, prayer, and reflection, and don't forget the fabulous coffee hour! We're at the corner of 20th and G Streets NW. Our church is easily accessible by foot, car, Metrorail, or Metrobus. Street parking is typically available on Sunday mornings. No matter how you travel, there's a simple way to get to The United Church.
