To "PRAY NAKED" is to come before God without our usual defenses, armors, excuses. It is to come to God with all that obscures or obstructs our sense of precious, sacred and beloved. In a sermon of the same name, we will have a look at what true prayer--and what true answer to prayer is.
We will focus on the Lord's prayer and Jesus' instructions, emphasizing the line "and lead us not into temptation." Temptation, after all, is part of the Lenten landscape.
Our texts are I THESSALONIANS 5: 5-16, and MATTHEW 6: 5-13.
BETSY BISHOP will sing our time of centering, a setting of the Lord's Prayer.
The CHOIR will sing BRAHMS and ELGAR. STEVEN CARMAN will play FRESOCBALDI and BREMNER.
Please join us for an hour of inspiration, healing, and empowerment.
